Terms of Service

By accessing or using Independent Filmmaker Connection Database (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.

IFMCD is a streaming platform for independent films that connects filmmakers with audiences. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and will notify users of material changes via email or platform notification.

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent.

IFMCD offers multiple user roles including Watcher, Filmmaker, Actor, Crew, and Institution. Each role has specific features and responsibilities.

Filmmakers who upload content represent and warrant that they hold all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to distribute such content on the Platform.

Institution accounts must be authorized representatives of their respective organizations.

By uploading content to IFMCD, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, stream, display, and distribute your content on the Platform. You retain all ownership rights to your content.

You agree not to upload content that infringes on any third party's intellectual property rights, contains illegal material, or violates any applicable laws.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms or our content guidelines, with or without notice.

Certain features require a paid subscription. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. You may cancel at any time, and your access will continue until the end of your current billing period.

Filmmaker revenue sharing is subject to the Creator Agreement. Payment processing is handled by third-party payment processors.

You agree not to: circumvent or disable any security features; use automated tools to scrape or download content; share your account credentials; interfere with the Platform's operation; or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform.

The Platform, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by IFMCD and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Platform without our written consent.

IFMCD is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.
